Quility’s Conservation department
Our Conservation department is a bridge between our agents and their clients. They are responsible for contacting policyholders who have missed a payment on their policy. By doing so, they are often able to keep a policy from lapsing, therefore keeping the business on the books for our agents.
The Conservation team helps keep a working connection between the agent, the client and the carrier. Working with seven of our core carriers, they can pinpoint any issues with policies and help resolve them.
They stay on top of common issues that can prevent a policy from lapsing or getting canceled. They keep all appropriate parties informed and communicate to ensure clients and agents are getting the support they need.
What’s more, the Conservation department will also reach out to the associated carrier if any wires are mixed on their end concerning the policy. Through their efforts, agents are protected from chargebacks and clients are saved from having their policies lapse when they aren’t aware of said missed payments.
Helping clients
The Conservation department contacts your clients through phone call or text to start a dialogue concerning their missed payment. At that point, they assess what the client needs to save the policy and make the next payment. Sometimes that can mean a simple information update or meeting with the agent to discuss a change in coverage.
What’s more, our Conservation team can explain the benefits of the product that the client has and answer any questions they may have regarding that coverage. To that end, our Conservation team is there to help nurture the relationship between agents and their clients.

- The biggest benefit our agents receive is protection from chargebacks. Instead of the client lapsing on the policy, our Conservation department reaches out to help keep our agents’ business on the books.
- By having a running dialog with clients about their current protection, they can communicate with the agent directly if the client feels they may need to make any changes to their current policy to make sure it is the right fit for them. With that in mind, there are instances where the client discovers they need additional coverage, which the agent can help them find.
Helping real people
Every day our Conservation department is helping real people protect their lives and loved ones with life insurance. Their efforts inspire our agents and corporate staff, as the end goal for our organization is to help families and individuals protect their life’s journey. One example of their efforts is when one of our Conservation team members caught a policy that was about to lapse for a client who was under the impression her coverage would not continue after being diagnosed with cancer.
That team member reached out to the agent who wrote the policy, and together they discovered that not only was she still covered, but because of a critical illness rider, she was eligible to collect the policy’s death benefit. This client went from being concerned about keeping her coverage to discovering the full benefit of her coverage.
This is just one example of how real people are affected by the hard work and support of the Conservation team.
Real numbers
The hard work of our Conservation department relates to real numbers. Every year they increase the number of policies they’re able to save, and every year more and more agents are protected from chargebacks.
In 2022, they were able to save our agents over $3.2 million in avoided chargebacks. That’s $3.2 million that would have resulted in lapsed policies for our clients. Without the Conservation department, business falls off the books and clients lose coverage.
Growing support
The Conservation department is constantly growing and adapting to our sales force. As they grow as a department, we’re discovering new ways to engage our clients. Symmetry agents can expect this support to expand going forward.
An example of that growth is the way that we’re able to contact clients. Not only will we be able to use different ways of reaching out to clients in the future, but we’ll also be expanding which carriers we can work with and the number of policies we’re able to catch from lapsing.
